The Dive Crescent off-street car park near Tauranga's city centre remains closed while upgrading of the parking and amenity in the area takes place.
The upgrade works have been delayed by ongoing water main repairs in Dive Crescent, and the car park will now reopen mid-July.
"Construction is now progressing on this upgrade with barriers and road cones installed along the western edge of Dive Crescent," says the latest update from Tauranga City Council.
"The barriers and road cones will remain in place while storm water installation takes place, as well as construction of new kerbing and channelling along the length of the car park.
"During works, a temporary closure of the cycle lane and footpath on the western edge of Dive Crescent is required. All road users will need to take extra care when travelling in this area.
"While the Dive Crescent off-street car park is temporarily closed, the nearby car parks on Cliff Road and The Strand will remain open and available for use."

Just how long does it take to build a carpark. I have seen larger hard stands in Tauriko built within a week, but of course that is private developers.
