Police are responding to reports of a crash in Tauranga.

"The crash apparently occurred at about 1.40pm and involved two cars," says a police spokesperson.

The crash has occurred on the corner of Edgecumbe Road and Sixth Avenue in Tauranga.

"We are aware of one person with minor injuries.

"[The crash is] not blocking any lanes."
