Library hours over the weekend

Update, 8.45am Saturday July 15: Western Bay District Council libraries and Tauranga City libraries are open today as per normal operating hours.

The Waihi Beach, Katikati and Omokoroa Library supervisors have confirmed that all three libraries are open on Saturday.

Tauranga City Libraries have also confirmed they are open as normal.

A previous notification from Western Bay District Council advised that all Western Bay District Council Library and Service Centres would be closed today due to illness, however the libraries have confirmed on Saturday morning they are open.

Earlier, 4pm, Friday July 14: Illness amongst staff means that all Western Bay District Council Library and Service Centres will be closed on Saturday July 15 to allow team members to recover.

All Library and Service Centres will re-open on Monday July 17 at their usual opening times.

The library and service centres were also closed for the Matariki public holiday today, Friday July 14.

"Online services such as e-books, audio books and public wifi will not be affected, and books and resources can still be returned through the afterhours facility,"
