Update, 7pm: Police advise that the man previously reported missing from Poroporo has been located.

"Thanks to everyone who assisted with information and search efforts,' says a police spokesperson.

Earlier, 11am: Police are appealing to the public for information on the whereabouts of Kaea Umuhuri.

"He was last seen in Poroporo, Whakatane on Thursday 13 July at around 11am," says a police spokesperson.

"Kaea was wearing green overalls and gumboots."

Police and Kaea's family have concerns for his welfare.

Anyone who has seen Kaea or has information on his whereabouts is urged to call Police on 105, quoting file number 230714/6523.
