A woman reported missing last week, has been found.

Police issued a statement overnight saying the woman reported missing from Taupō on Wednesday, July 26 "has been located safely".

"She was found by searchers in the Kinloch area and is on the way to hospital for assessment," says a police spokesperson.

"Police would like to thank everyone who assisted in the search."
