Increased police numbers as search continues

South Waikato people may see an increased police presence in and around the area, in relation to the Tom Phillips case, say Waikato Police.

Police are conducting reassurance patrols and the investigation continues into the disappearance of Tom and his three children, who have not yet been located. 

"Police would like to thank the public for information received, following appeals for information in the last few days," says Waikato District Commander Superintendent Bruce Bird.

"Investigators are now working through information received."

The bronze Toyota Hilux ute being sought in relation to Tom Phillips was located on Friday.

"We urge anyone with information to contact Police.

"We believe Tom is going to some effort to conceal his identity, so please let us know of any suspicious activity so that we can follow up."
