Cameron Road, near Harvey Norman, will be reduced to one-way at night from tonight for resurfacing work as part of Tauranga City Council's "Building our future – Cameron Road, Te Papa" project.
The northbound lanes of Cameron Road will be closed from 6pm-6am from 6pm Tuesday, August 8 – 6am Friday, August 18, including the14th Ave intersection.
"This section of Cameron Road, and the 14th Ave intersection, will be open for use during the day but reduced to one lane," says a council spokesperson.
"Northbound traffic will be diverted down 15th Ave, along Devonport Road to 13th Ave.
"The same closure will be in place for line marking work from 6pm Sunday, August 13, to 6am Monday, August 14, with the same diversion in place."
Councils says local residents will still have vehicle access. Pedestrian and cyclist access, and access to businesses in the area will be maintained at all times; please follow the directional signage.
"Buses will also follow the detours and bus stops within the closure area will be marked as closed.
"The resurfacing and line marking work is weather dependent and if not completed between Tuesday, August 8, and Monday, August 14, work will take place between Tuesday, August 15, and Monday, August 21, with the same detours in place.
"Tauranga City Council and the Cameron Road Joint Venture thank you for your patience and understanding while we carry out this essential work."
