Police investigating the death of 52-year-old Michael Mulholland in Farmer Crescent, Taita on Thursday, September 20, have arrested a man and charged him with manslaughter.
Operation Field inquiry head Detective Inspector Darrin Thomson says a 30-year-old Lower Hutt man had appeared in the Lower Hutt District today on the charge.
He was remanded in custody.
Police are also speaking with a second man in connection with the homicide investigation.
Darrin says the arrest had followed extensive scene examinations and engagement with people in the Farmers Crescent area and wider community.
