Creative Bay of Plenty is thrilled to announce the launch of its brand-new podcast, "Around The Table".

Hosted by artist and arts advocate, Kelcy Taratoa, the roundtable format facilitates conversations around the importance of the arts in New Zealand: for the wellbeing of our communities, for fostering innovation across all sectors, for supporting equity and diversity, for the enhancement of technological development, for raising environmental awarness, and much more.

"Kelcy Taratoa, a local artist with an unwavering commitment to the arts, is the perfect host to lead these dynamic conversations," says Creative Bay of Plenty comms and marketing lead Rose Treadwell.

"We believe that 'Around The Table' will provide a platform for thought-provoking dialogues that shed light on the transformative power of creativity."

The debut episode of "Around The Table" is an exploration into the revival of Tauranga's city centre, featuring Sonya Korohina, Director of Tauranga Art Gallery; Rachelle Duffy, the driving force behind Little Big Events and Our Place Magazine; and Greg McManus, Director of Museums.

"Listeners gain an exclusive glimpse into the minds of civic leaders who are actively shaping our city's future," explains Kelcy Taratoa.

"We are not just revitalising Tauranga; we are igniting a conversation that underscores the importance of transparent communication between leaders and the community they serve."

In a time when creative expression is more important than ever, "Around The Table" brings together creatives from across Aotearoa discuss topics ranging from the significance of the arts in our society to advocating for a more creative country.

Audiences can tune in to the podcast on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Google Podcasts.
