Road works are planned this week for a section of Kennedy Road in Pyes Pa.
"After recent weather events, a slip on Kennedy Road, between Pyes Pa Road and Trans Tasman Way, needs to be repaired to avoid future issues on the road," says a Tauranga City Council spokesperson.
Work is planned to start on Tuesday, September 12, weather dependent, and will take an estimated five days to complete.
Hours of work are between 9am and 4pm, during which a lane closure and stop/go traffic management will be in place.
From 4pm to 9am, two-way traffic will resume. There is no footpath on the working side of the road, and the shared footpath opposite the working space will remain open for pedestrians and cyclists.
Resident access and weekly rubbish collections will not be affected. "We apologise for any inconvenience during these works," says a Tauranga City Council spokesperson.
