Roller Mills: Day five

There was no question the 2012 Bay of Plenty Roller Mills Team would ensure Bay Pride was left intact after their ‘out of character' loss on Wednesday.

No doubt some soul searching occurred overnight by the boys and Thames Valley felt the full backlash after Wednesday's loss.

The players were an almost faultless display of good hard physical and running rugby on Thursday.

The Bay team ran in 13 tries in a match determined to avenge their indifferent play on Wednesday.

The following two players finally put their hands up with three tries to fullback Josh Buckton and two to flying Fijian winger Peni Lasaqa.

Halfback Levi Hartley received the player of the day for the third time this tournament. Levi's slick passing and darting runs have been a trade mark of his and centre Jaevyn Mohi used his pace and strength to set up some wonderful tries.

Hooker come prop Jayden Dinsdale set a solid go forward platform for the backs to run off.
The Bay were never going take the valley boys lightly as they have been competitive in their other pool games, but they just never got a sniff, such was the avenging onslaught of the BOP Roller Mills Team.

Coaches Cliff Honey and Barry Ririnui, while ruing the two losses, will be well pleased their charges demonstrated what they knew they are actually capable of.
