A full road closure is being planned along Pyes Pa Road this Friday, November 24.

In a post on Facebook, the Western Bay of Plenty District Council says the closure is to allow contractors to carry out maintenance works on the road.

"The closure will start at the SH36 RAB and Kennedy Rd, with the detour being SH36 and then on to Kennedy Rd.

"The closure will be between 8.30am and 3.30pm this Friday.

"Contractors will be clearing wattles, trimming overgrown shrubs along the bank and roadside, and making sure the lines on the road are clear."

People travelling in the area are being warned to expect delays.
