Fatal crash: Police name Rotorua victim

Police are appealing for any information in relation to the crash.

Police have released the name of a man who died following a crash between a motorcycle and mobility scooter.

Edward Joseph Duffy, aged 88, died in a crash at the intersection of Amohau Street and Tutanekai Street in Rotorua on November 21.

"Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones," says a police spokesperson.

"Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.

"As part of our enquiries, we would like to hear from anyone who observed the motorcycle involved in the crash, prior to the collision with Mr Duffy’s mobility scooter.

"We would also like to hear from anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV footage of the motorcycle prior to the crash."
