Trans Tasman holiday park operator, Tasman Holiday Parks, is wrapping up completion of a substantial $8 million investment program for its Papamoa Park, just in time for the festive season.
At the grand reveal on Thursday night, Tasman Holiday Parks showcased a stunning addition of six two-bedroom beach-front villas overlooking Papamoa Beach alongside eight luxurious poolside units, with breathtaking views of the newly renovated 25-metre swimming pool.
In collaboration with the local iwi, Nga Potiki, Tasman Holiday Parks has not only designed the pool but also incorporated Māori storytelling elements in embracing the natural environment.
“Our Papamoa Holiday Park represents everything we are passionate about – elevating the hidden wonders of New Zealand's tourism market to allow more travellers to enjoy the natural beauty our country has to offer,” says Tasman Holiday Parks New Zealand general manager David Aflallo.
"We collaborated closely with the iwi throughout the development of the holiday park to create a product that remains true to its heritage. In recognition of our partnership, we've taken steps to fully embrace it, including the recent replacement of all signage, now featuring both te reo Māori and English."
David says the unveiling of these new additions for the Papamoa park marks a milestone for Tasman Holiday Parks, as it introduces a product that is truly unprecedented to the New Zealand tourism market.
“This park is certainly a trailblazer for the industry, it heralds a new era where luxury and cultural integration converge to redefine the very essence of holiday park experiences like never before.
"As we eagerly anticipate the grand reveal of our Papamoa Holiday Park just in time for Christmas, we can't wait for visitors to experience the beauty of the upgraded facilities and immerse themselves in the rich history which we are so incredibly proud of.”
Both the poolside units and the pool are completed and will be marked by an exclusive VIP launch event on the 14th of December.
Over the past 24 months, Tasman Holiday Parks – headed by CEO Nikki Milne – has strategically invested in its holiday park assets across New Zealand, demonstrating its commitment to delivering an enhanced product offering amid the resurgence of domestic and international tourism post-Covid.
"We are big believers in the enduring strength of the New Zealand tourism market and are proud to be delivering a high-end range of facilities to a new generation of holiday park-goers who are falling in love with everything our country has to offer."
