There is mass Police activity around Bethlehem at the moment in relation to a tangi taking place.
Police say, they are visible in the Bethlehem area today in relation to a tangi in the area following the passing of a gang member earlier this week.

There are a lot of Police around and they are blocking off the roundabout near a school, says the caller.
They believe it may be gang related as they can hear a lot of motorbikes revving, says the caller.
The Police have got an eagle helicopter in Bethlehem says another SunLive reader.
Police say, locals can expect to see Police and Air Support Unit Eagle ensuring that those attending the event behave in a lawful manner.
Antisocial or unlawful behaviour and driving related offending will not be tolerated.
Police ask that if you see any unlawful behaviour to call Police on 111 if it is happening and 105 after the fact.

Ridiculous Cost

These gangs are costing the country millions of $. Even for their funerals. What is it costing in manpower for ground cover and air support.
What about their illegally noisey bikes. My car would be put off the road immediately if it sounded even vaguely like those bikes. Why sit there further annoying the hell out of innocent people by revving them up.
We need a dedicated squad to wipe these thugs out. Roll it out National.
