UPDATE: State Highway 29 is now open.

The road was blocked earlier following a two-car crash near Redwood Lane.

No major injuries have been reported.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.

People travelling from Tauranga via SH29 are being warned to expect delays.

A SunLive reader says there is a two vehicle crash on the highway, near Redwood Lane.

"There doesn't appear to be any injuries but the road looks like it it blocked.

"People should avoid the area or expect delays."

A police spokesperson says police are responding to reports of a two vehicle crash on State Highway 29, reported at 2:02pm.

"Doesn’t appear to be any injuries, appears both lanes are blocked, but traffic can still get through slowly."
