Emergency services are responding to a vehicle and boat trailer crash on State Highway 33 near Paengaroa.

"Police were notified at 4.55pm that a car towing a boat had collided with a power pole at the intersection of SH 33 and Partridge Lane," says a police spokesperson.

"There were no reports of injuries but one person was being checked over by Ambulance."

Police say that a pole was knocked down and the power company has been notified of that.

Powerco have made no reports of any power cuts in the area.

Police say the vehicle crash is not blocking the road.
