If you're looking for a gorgeous plant that requires little maintenance, bromeliads might be the answer.  Head along to the Tauranga Yacht & Powerboat Club at Sulphur Point from 8am - 12noon today for the Bay of Plenty Bromeliad Club's summer open day.

Make your way to Te Puna Quarry’s charming amphitheatre for a magical evening of William Shakespeare’s ‘The Tempest’. Summer Shakespeare Tauranga Trust’s cast have been rehearsing relentlessly for the past three months and now bringing audiences a stellar show. Check out the Tauranga Society of Artists Pop Up exhibition at Peoples Gallery Toi ka rere at Tauranga Historic Village. Each individual artist has presented artwork that gives you a wide selection of work, available for purchase, in a range of styles, media, sizes and prices. Come along and enjoy fabulous art. The exhibition runs from January 20 - February 10 and is open 10am - 3pm, Monday to Sunday.
