Serious two-vehicle crash in Te Puke

4.38pm update: A SunLive reader is reporting that a helicopter that has landed in Jellicoe Street, Te Puke is airlifting a person from the scene of a two-vehicle crash.

Emergency services are responding with Police, fire and ambulance to the scene.

SunLive readers are saying that traffic has built up significantly through the township following the crash.

"It's honestly mayhem in Te Puke," says one reader.

"Everyone better think before travelling, and either delay their trip or take an alternative route."

Earlier, 4.15pm: Emergency services are responding to the scene of a vehicle crash in Te Puke.

 

A SunLive reader is reporting a two-vehicle crash on Jellicoe Street, with traffic building up.

 

It is unknown at this stage if there are any injuries.

Motorists are advised to take care in the area, delay their journey or take an alternative route.
