SunLive is receiving reports of traffic building up along Takitimu Drive, Tauranga, on Monday afternoon, and a vehicle collision at Pyes Pa.

"The traffic heading towards the Mount is backed up to the Chapel Street bridge, and will soon be backed up to Elizabeth Street, along Takitimu Drive," says a caller to SunLive.

"Police received a report of a vehicle broken down at the intersection of Hewletts Road and Jean Batten Drive around 2.50pm," says a police spokesperson.

Vehicle collision at Pyes Pa

Police were notified of a vehicle collision involving a truck and a parked bus on Pyes Pa Road at around 2.30pm today.

"The driver sustained minor injuries, and one lane was temporarily blocked," says a police spokesperson.

"Traffic management was deployed to remove the vehicles off the road.

"The scene has since been cleared with both lanes are now open."

Motorists are advised to expect delays.
