Night time southbound road closures are planned this week along Maunganui Road and Hewletts Road while planned roadworks take place.

State Highway 2 Hewletts Rd Flyover and Maunganui Rd between Golf Rd and Bayfair Shopping Centre will be closed for southbound vehicles from approximately  7pm - 6am, Sunday, March 17 to Thursday, March 21.

The five nights of closure is in order to complete overhead signage and asphalt work.

Vehicles can detour onto Golf Rd, then right onto Oceanbeach Rd, right onto Girven Rd, and then continue south on SH2.

People travelling between Baypark and Bayfair will continue to see road and lane closures at night.

This week, this includes overnight road closures of Hewletts Road flyover southbound, on Maunganui Road southbound (between Golf Road roundabout and Bayfair Shopping Centre), Girven Road and Matapihi Road, and around Bayfair roundabout. More information.
