People travelling from Bethlehem or Otumoetai via State Highway 2 are warned to expect delays.

Pavement works are currently underway on SH2 Otumoetai on-ramp to Judea.

Closures are also being put in place for eastbound traffic every night from 8pm to 5am until Friday, March 22, says NZTA.

From Sunday, March 24, to Tuesday, March 26, there will also be road closures from 8pm to 5am.

"Outside of these hours, there will be a temporary speed restriction in place. Detours in place.

"Plan your journey accordingly allowing extra time for travel.

Please note these works are weather dependent and may be postponed at short notice."
