One person has received serious injuries following a vehicle crash in Thames on Friday evening.

Emergency services attended the scene of a serious single-vehicle collision on Jellicoe Crescent.

Police were notified around 8.30pm.

Initial indications suggested one person was seriously injured. 

Due to the serious crash, SH25 was closed between Fenton St and Jellicoe Lane, and motorists were directed to follow directions of emergency services on scene.

Diversions were in place for some time.

The road was reopened by 2am Saturday morning.
