A car has crashed into a fence in Katikati following a medical episode.

Police say they received a report of a car going into a fence on Fairview Road about 2.50pm.

"It appears the driver may have had a medical episode," says a police spokesperson. 

Police say two people in the car received injuries.

It is unknown at this stage how injured the people are.
