Stop/Go traffic management is now in place following an earlier crash just north of Parakiwai Quarry Rd. Expect delays.
Update, 12.31pm: One lane is now open on State Highway 25 south of Whangamata.
Emergency services have worked to clear one lane of SH25 south of Whangamata following a truck crash this morning.
"The crash was reported to Police at 11.10am and initially the road was closed in both directions," says a police spokesperson.
"While one lane is now clear, motorists can expect continued delays and should take alternative routes where possible."
Powerco is reporting power outages in Onemana and Whangamata with over 5000 properties affected.
A power cut was reported at 12.08pm in Onemana, affecting 4360 properties, following the vehicle striking a pole. Power is expected to be restored by 2pm.

Earlier, 12.14pm: State Highway 25 south of Whangamata is blocked following a truck crash, says a police spokesperson.
"The truck has collided with a power pole, bringing live power lines down.
"The truck driver has sustained moderate injuries and has been safely removed from the truck.

"Motorists are advised to delay travel or take alternative routes where possible."

"Due to a crash with power lines down just north of Parakiwai Quarry Rd, SH25 is closed south of Whangamata," says a Waka Kotahi spokesperson.
"Delay your journey or consider alternative route via SH25A to north of Whangamata."
