A person is suffering from moderate injuries after a crash, says a police spokesperson.

"A crash involving a car and a cyclist occurred on Orkney Road in Mount Maunganui around 12.50 this afternoon."

"The road is not blocked."

There does appear to be congestion in the area according to Google Maps.
