Update, 12.30pm: State Highway 29A has now reopened following an earlier crash between Barkes Corner and the Oropi roundabout. 

The crash, involving two vehicles, was reported to police at 10.55am.

One person has sustained moderate injuries and the road was blocked while emergency services responded.

A SunLive reader says the crash is between the Oropi roundabout and Barkes Corner on SH29A.

"One person has sustained moderate injuries," says a police spokesperson. 

"The road is blocked while emergency services respond."

Motorists are advised to expect delays and take a detour. Traffic is reported to be building up as motorists take a detour through Maleme Street.
