New sponsors for Kahawai World Cup

The 2013 Kahawai World Cup Surfcasting Bonanza which is run by the Papamoa Rotary in association with the Western Bay Surfcasting Club, with a top prize of $10,000.00 for the heaviest Kahawai of the weekend has a new sponsor for next year.

Mt Maunganui Company North Island Fork Lifts in association with Hanes Engineering from Hamilton have taken up the sponsorship of this great weekend's fishing off the beach at Papamoa.

The third Bonanza, which is being held over the weekend of March 8-10, is expected to register in excess of 500 anglers.

Kevin Burton from North Island Forklifts, who is a keen fisherman himself and a member of the Western Bay Surfcasting Club, fished the Bonanza last year and comments that it is a great weekend of fishing with great prizes, and the proceeds are going to assist the local community.

Kevin was keen to put something back into the local community and has persuaded Hanes Engineering of Hamilton to assist with the sponsorship.

All funds raised by Papamoa Rotary go back into the local community.

So be ready for the big picket fence of Surfcasting Rods on Papamoa Beach in early March next year.

Entry Forms will be on the website during November www.kahawaiworldcup.com
