The Northern Knights begin their Plunket Shield defence on Sunday at Seddon Park, Hamilton, where they will play the Otago Volts.
Three players will debut for the Knights.
Tony Goodin is a medium fast bowler from BOP who came through ND age group teams and player development programmes before moving to live in Australia.

Since his return to NZ he has been a consistent wicket taker for BOP in District Association Cricket.
He gets his opportunity with Graeme Aldridge on a limited bowling workload as he recovers from off season surgery and with Anurag Verma attending University exams.
Ish Sodhi is a leg spin bowler who represented NZ at the recent U19 World Cup.
Adam Wheater is the backup wicket keeper at Essex to ND's T20 signing James Foster. Wheater has been playing for Essex as a specialist batsman, but has other counties pursuing his services as a wicket keeper.
