A mix of familiar and new faces will feature in the Waikato/Bay of Plenty Magic 2013 team.

Nine players from this year's ANZ Championship netball team will return next year, including Silver Ferns quartet Irene van Dyk, Laura Langman, Casey Williams and Leana de Bruin.

Silver Ferns Irene van Dyk will return for another year of netball with Magic in 2013.

The franchise announced yesterday the quartet will be joined by new faces, including shooter Ellen Halpenny from the Canterbury Tactix, and young players Kendra Falefitu, Nadia Loveday and Jaime Lee Price.

Next year the team will be called Kia Magic, with Kia Motors being confirmed as the team's major commercial partner.

Magic franchise CEO Sheryl Dawson says their goal is to secure the championship trophy for another season.

'We are really looking forward to seeing the squad in action too once their training starts in late November.”

Sheryl says there are exciting times ahead concerning the future partnership with Kia.
'We have enjoyed our negotiations with them immensely and can only see positive outcomes from our partnership as we plan our campaign for the upcoming season.”
Magic assistant coach Tanya Dearns is thrilled with the new line up.

'It's a really exciting time for us to be naming this group of players.
'In recent years, Magic has probably struggled with finding a consistent depth. There's been a lot of work done in the last couple of years to build that depth and raise the levels.

'The plan is to keep building on that and we believe that will happen with this group.”
Shooter Julianna Naoupu and defender Sulu Tone-Fitzpatrick will not return to the 2013 team.
A strong desire to return home will see Julianna suit up for the Tactix next year while Sulu has headed to the Southern Steel in search of more game time.
