Update, 11am: There is a power outage in Te Puke on Sunday morning, following a vehicle striking a power pole on Cameron Road.
"The lines came down on the road and contractors were notified," says a police spokesperson.
The power cut, affecting 138 properties, occurred at 10.33am.
PowerCo advise that their estimated time for the restoration of power is 5pm.
Earlier, 8.25am: Emergency services are responding to the scene of a vehicle crash in Te Puke.
"Police were notified a single vehicle had collided with a power pole on Cameron Road around 7.15am," says a police spokesperson.
Police say the driver and vehicle left the scene.
"The lines came down on the road and contractors were notified.
"Police have located the vehicle and are speaking with the driver."
