One person has been taken to hospital following a vehicle crash at Kopu early Saturday morning.

Police responded to reports of a single vehicle crash where a vehicle collided with a pole on Paeroa Kopu Road, Kopu, around 2.30am.

"One person was transported to Thames Hospital," says a police spokesperson.
