Police are responding to a two-vehicle crash on Girven Road near Gloucester Road, says a police spokesperson. 

They say the crash was reported at 10.40am and the road remains open.

"Hato Hone St John were notified of an incident on Girven Road in Mount Maunganui at 10.38am," says a Hato Hone St John spokesperson.

"We responded with one ambulance. One patient was assessed, but did not require hospital transportation."
