NZ Transport Agency Bay of Plenty state highways manager Brett Gliddon says the cameras will allow both the agency and Tauranga City Council to monitor and respond to any issues along state highways.

The new cameras will be installed on SH29, near Cambridge Road, SH36, at the roundabout at the intersection of the Pyes Pa bypass and The Lakes and on SH2/Takitimu Drive, bear the 15th Avenue overbridge.
