Water supply "back on" in Pāpāmoa

2.15pm: Water has now been turned back on for properties affected by an earlier emergency shut down in Pāpāmoa.

"Great news, water is back on," says a Tauranga City Council spokesperson.

The water system had been cut earlier by a third-party doing work in the area.

Earlier, 1.13pm:  Water is expected to be flowing again at around 5pm today, following an emergency shut down in a small part of Pāpāmoa, says a Tauranga City Council spokesperson.

"It's affecting the even numbered properties from 202-270 on Range Road, Pāpāmoa and all numbers on Parewaitai Court," says a council spokesperson.

SunLIve readers in Pāpāmoa say the water was switched off at approximately 1pm.

"The water was cut by a third-party doing work in the area and they are fixing it now," says a council spokesperson.

"Water will be back on by 5pm."
