A body has been found in the search for a woman missing in Hamilton.
Earlier on Friday, police appealed for sightings of the missing 77-year-old after she was reported as missing on Thursday.
"Her body was located near Hamilton Gardens [on Friday] afternoon, and the matter has been referred to the Coroner," says a police spokesperson.
"We have been in contact with next of kin and are providing them with support at this difficult time.
"Police would like to thank the public for their assistance in helping us locate her."
