Tauranga Society of Artists are holding the Original Art Expo and Jensen Supreme Art Award at Tauranga Boys’ College Gymnasium from Thursday – Sunday, October 3-6. With 109 artists exhibiting more than 650 original artworks, plus fine art prints and cards, as well as six artists doing live art each day there is plenty for people to see. The Original Art Expo will be open from 9am – 5pm today, and 9am - 3pm on Sunday. Entry is by gold coin donation, with fantastic raffle prizes available and the public can vote for the People’s Choice Award.

It's time to try on a turban! Head along to Jordan Field at Memorial Park, Tauranga from 11am to 3pm today where you'll be able to enjoy learning about the rich traditions of Sikhism, Gurudwara Sikh Sangat Tauranga president Puran Singh said.
“This is about bringing our community together to enjoy delicious free food, learn the art of tying a turban, and try one on for yourself,” Singh said.
