Bay of Plenty farmers have a chance to win a share of a fabulous prize pool simply by entering and completing the 2025 New Zealand Dairy Industry Awards programme.

Dairy farmers at all levels are encouraged to enter to benefit from the learning experience, grow their careers and businesses, and connect with others in the industry.

The Awards programme includes New Zealand Share Farmer of the Year, New Zealand Dairy Manager of the Year, New Zealand Dairy Trainee of the Year and Fonterra Responsible Dairying Award categories.

Entries are now open and Bay of Plenty entrants must enter before midnight on October 27 to be eligible to win an EarlyBird prize from Honda. The final closing date for entries is December 8.

Entrants are encouraged to attend a fun evening at The Comm in Whakatane on October 17 to speak with previous winners and current Team Leaders and find out more about the benefits of entering the Awards.

“We are thrilled that the National Gala Dinner will be held in the Bay of Plenty next year, and are looking forward to showcasing our beautiful region and having our 2025 regional winners on the national stage,” said BOP Regional Manager Suzanne Young.

“Our launch event in Whakatane will provide an opportunity to meet other potential entrants, the committee and sponsors and to learn about the awards from past entrants.”

The New Zealand Dairy Industry Awards are supported by national sponsors ASB, CowManager, Ecolab, Federated Farmers, Honda, LIC, and Trelleborg, along with industry partners DairyNZ, Fonterra and MediaWorks.

The Bay of Plenty Dairy Industry Awards launch event takes place on October 17 at 6.15pm at The Comm, 45 The Strand, Whakatane. There will be spot prizes and finger food provided.
