Tauranga, Whakatāne, and the Western Bay of Plenty are buzzing with excitement as entries for the annual Q Awards 2024 officially open.

Created by Quentosity, this competition invites young creatives aged 16 to 18 to showcase their talent across various disciplines, including graphic design, photography, digital media, and architecture.

With over 120 entries submitted in the past two years, the Q Awards have established themselves as a key platform for emerging artists in the region. This year’s competition promises to be even bigger, offering participants the chance to win fantastic prizes while gaining invaluable exposure and experience.

Entries are open until November 8, 2024. Aspiring entrants are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to spotlight their creativity and innovation.

"The Q Awards enabled me to explore my passion for graphic design, providing a gateway into the diverse industry; allowing me to further my skills with real-world experience," said Neil Buchanan, the 2021 winner of the Orange Award in the Graphic Category.

The Q Awards also provide a vital opportunity for local businesses to get involved as sponsors.

By supporting the awards, sponsors can play a crucial role in helping young people launch their careers in the creative industries.

In 2023, prize winners received significant support, including financial assistance for essential equipment and a coveted internship opportunity—an initiative the awards aim to repeat this year.

Sponsorship offers notable exposure across the Q Awards website, social media channels, and during the awards evening, which sponsors are invited to attend.
