Resealing works are scheduled to take place this week at the Sulphur Point boat ramp carpark.

Weather permitting the resealing will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 29 and 30.

"The works will occur near the Nautilus apartments and restaurant, and along part of the carpark entrance," said a Tauranga City Council spokesperson.

"While boat ramp users will experience minimal disruptions, several car parks will be out of use."

Council said the overbridge that connects cyclists and pedestrians between Sulphur Point and Chapel Street will also be out of action for the two days.

"As an alternative cycle route, we recommend using Marsh Street/Mirrielees Road," said a council spokesperson.

"The resealing works are part of our marine facility renewals programme to ensure the continued safety and accessibility of our facilities."
