Emergency services are responding to the scene of a vehicle crash on State Highway 2 near Pukehina.

"Police received a call about 2.20pm to a crash on SH2 Pukehina where a car has struck a pole," said a Police spokesperson.

It is unknown at this stage if there are any injuries or road blocks.

Motorists are advised to take care in the area.
