UPDATE: Police are responding to a single vehicle crash on Hamurana Road near Kaska Road, Hamurana.

Emergency services responded to the crash around 1pm.

Two people were located in a serious condition, said a police spokesperson,

"Hamurana Road is closed with diversions in place at its intersections with Turner Road and Kaska Road, motorists are advised to expect delays."

EARLIER:

Police were advised that a car had crashed into a culvert on Hamurana Road at the intersection with Kaska Road.

"It was reported to Police at 1 pm," said a police spokesperson. 

"There were two people in the car and both are reported to be injured."

Google Maps is showing heavy congestion in the area.
