People are being warned to prepare for heavy rain in the Bay of Plenty tomorrow.
The MetService has issued a heavy rain warning for the region.
In it's latest weather update, the MetService said an unsettled northerly flow affects Bay of Plenty during Saturday.
It said this will bring periods of heavy rain, thunderstorms and possible localised downpours.
"People are advised to keep to date with the latest forecasts."

Period: 18 hours from 3am Sat 21 Dec to 9pm Sat 21 Dec
Forecast: Expect 80 to 120 mm in periods of heavy rain and thunderstorms, especially inland and about the eastern ranges. Peak rates of 25 to 40 mm/h possible in localised downpours.
Minimal chance of upgrading to a Red Warning.
Impact: Streams and rivers may rise rapidly. Surface flooding, slips, and difficult driving conditions possible.
Action: Clear your drains and gutters to prepare for heavy rain. Avoid low-lying areas and drive cautiously.
