On 8 January 2025, Pete passed away peacefully at his home in Matapihi, Tauranga.

Dearly loved husband of Barbara and cherished father to John; Sam; Sean; and Morgan. Loved son of Kevin and Nola and brother of Juliane and Karen. Loved son-in-law of Henry.
