Tauranga archer Trevor Kennerson has returned from the 8th Federation African Archery championship in Egypt an unofficial gold winner.

The event was held in Ain Sokhna by the Red Sea and was hosted by the Egyptian Archery Federation. Competitors from 15 countries took part although only the Africans were able to officially compete.
Trevor finished the event ranked first, but it was not all competition for him as he spent time traveling to see the pyramids, sphinx and on a Nile cruise.
