A car has crashed into the Westpac bank in Katikati today.
The white Toyota hatchback crashed through the glass exterior window on Main Road just after 11.30am today.

Katikati firefighters are at the scene where the driver is believed to be out of the vehicle and walking around.
Staff at Forsight Optometrist next door to Westpac felt the impact of the car crashing through the building.
'We heard the noise and felt it go through,” says a Forsight staff member.
'It has taken a front part of the building out, a big window is smashed.
'There is ambulance and a fire engine here containing everything and clearing up.”
Injuries are unknown at this time.

Perhaps they may need new glasses and missed the Optometrist building where they should have gone instead of hitting the bank
