What's on Today?

Tauranga Art Gallery is open today with exhibitions by North Canterbury-based Wayne Youle whose one-off exhibition of work designed specifically for the Tauranga Art Gallery is in the Atrium.

Raye Catran's exhibiton includes paintings of houses

There is an exhibition of new work by Tauranga artist Raye Catran, inspired by a lifelong interest in houses and curiosity about the people who live in them. Raye Catran won the Ethel McMillan Award in the Miles Art Awards last year for her work, The Stop Sign.

Now & Then: Enduring and developing themes in contemporary New Zealand photography traverses the terrain of this country's fine art photography, exploring the trends and themes which have surfaced over the past four decades.

The exhibition, toured by Te Manawa, encompasses a selection of more than 39 prominent and currently emerging photographers
