Western Bay of Plenty's Annual Resthome Games held on Wednesday have got residents right into the spirit of Easter.
Residents from 17 retirement villages and resthomes took part in the event held at Queen Elizabeth Youth Centre, Memorial Park, with the oldest being 102 year old Renci Slocombe from Accadia Manor Retirement Village.
Active lifestyles adviser for Sport BOP Penny Mitropoulos says the residents look forward to the games every year.
"It is not only a fun event but important for their exercise as well."
The nine activities the residents took part in: noodle hockey, fishing, discus, volleyball, boccia (soft bowls), quoits, loop hoop, ten pin bowling and bowling.
