What's on Today? Jump Jam

Tauranga students will be jumping their hearts out today as more than 60 primary and intermediate school teams take park in the regional competition of Jump Jam.

This is the first time the children's aerobics competition, founded by Brett Fairweather and taught in schools, is being held at Bethlehem College in Tauranga since beginning in 2005.

Jump Jam is an aerobics based programme taught in primary and intermediate schools. File photo.

A total of 13 teams from Maungatapu School, Omanu Primary School, St Mary's Catholic School, Papamoa School, Aquinas College, Greenpark School and Tauranga Intermediate will compete in the regional competition at Bethlehem College today from 8.30am.

The top three teams will compete at nationals at Auckland in November.
