Top Mount officer promoted

Tauranga's most powerful female police officer has moved to Wellington to take a top position at the Police Training College.
Senior Sergeant Tania Kura moved to Wellington a week ago and is preparing for her new role as the head of school for patrol and operations.

Tania has served as Mount Maunganui's top police officer for five years.
"I'm looking forward to the role. There's a lot to learn."
She is promoted to the rank of inspector and will be responsible for a staff of about 77.
Tania's partner, former Greerton senior sergeant David Archibald, has also been promoted to head the school of CIB and intelligence at the college.
Dave, who was elevated to the rank of detective inspector, is training future detectives in intelligence work, forensics and prosecutions.
He served with the Tauranga police force for 12 years and as senior sergeant at the Greerton Police Station for four years.
